The North is very dry.     
In the South the climate is tropical with swamps and rain forests

One of the main reasons that there was tension about the land in Darfur was because of oil. Mostly all of the oil was reserved in the Southern regions. Because the Southern regions had all of the oil reserved, the North wanted it. Not only was all of the oil reserved in Southern regions, but the government controlled the oil.

The African population is very mad at the government's lack of support. When there is prolonged droughts and famine conditions, the African population feels like the government does not help. The government of Sudan knows that the conflict in Darfur is because of land between ethnic groups.

The religon that is mostly in Darfur is Muslim, but there is also a Christians.


Mostly all of the population in Sudan is in poverty.


The Genocide in Sudan will continue to get worse, if the government does not step up and help.
